Supports the Ethics and Compliance Officers to support GSK employees in performing their everyday activities under the highest legal and ethical standards. Helping the business deliver their commercial ambitions in a sustainable and ethical manner, by embedding an ethical leadership and compliance culture in a way that protects the reputation of GSK and mitigates risk. Supports compliance and risk management advice to the Pharma businesses in their country

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the Ethics and Compliance Officers to help GSK leaders of designated departments to lead the implementation a compliance programme which builds and embeds a values-based culture in a way that supports GSK strategies and principles
  • Partners with business leaders to proactively identify, evaluate and manage risks in accordance with GSK’s internal control framework and in a way, that enables sustainable business growth (Risk Management and support the local RMCB & Country Executive Board meetings)
  • Assisting the implementation of global compliance programs by translating global requirements into local specifications, including any relevant training
  • Working in collaboration with the Ethics and Compliance Officer , with other governance groups (eg Medical, Legal, Quality, HR, Finance) to develop integrated compliance solutions, ensuring together that LOC operations are aligned and compliant with applicable Codes and Regulations (internal and external)
  • As a member of the Compliance team, ensures that proper internal controls are in place and in use by independently assessing the framework (continuous improvement of the local Internal Control Framework); supports the business in the development and implementation of the Management Monitoring and Independent Business Monitoring plan to ensure controls operate effectively and gaps identified are appropriately remediated.
  • Supporting the closure of local Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) coming from internal audits, internal & external investigations, Independent Business Monitoring in conjunction with the Ethics and Compliance Officer
  • Supports the delivery of Ethics & Compliance training to all levels of organization in collaboration with the Ethics and Compliance Officer
  • Support the Privacy Center of Excellence in deploying the enterprise-wide privacy compliance programme locally in partnership with Privacy Legal Counsel, in line with all GSK’s internal policies, regulations and timelines set by the country laws and regulations in their countries
  • Advise local process owners and third party managers in applying the ‘Privacy by design’ principles at the outset of country projects and perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
  • Own the relationship with Data Protection Authorities (DPAs), responding to enquiries & complaints from data subjects or DPAs
  • Support the Business aligned Privacy Leaders (PLs) or Regional Privacy Officers (RPOs) to notify the Data Privacy Authority of breaches within applicable timeframes. Consult with, and seek advice of the Data Privacy Officer (DPO), and provide any support requested by the DPO

Basic Requirements:

  • University Degree (Bachelor or Master) in a specialization such as Business Administration, life sciences, Risk Management or Legal
  • Industry experience
  • Job experience in Compliance and / or Risk Management
