Reporting to the Global Head of Data Strategy Access and Enablement, this role is a key contributor in the overall team and Real World Evidence and Solutions.

This role is the primary business owner leading an RWE Innovation vertical pillar for the RWE innovation strategy under the assigned pillar. The expectation is that this encompasses technology, process and people associated with the global pillar. This includes innovation through (a) a no-go decision or (b) implementation through to operational delivery.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Pillar Strategic Positioning: Collaborate with RWS leadership to define the corporate innovation strategy for assigned pillar. Accomplish this through ongoing: strategic review of existing inflight IQVIA projects, technology, process and people; retrospective landscape review of opportunities and assess industry and client needs; and current market assessment including competitive view. Participate in Technology and Vendor governance process for topics and projects associated with assigned pillar.
  • Guide ideation process and engage with colleagues across IQVIA RWE/RWS organisation in order to define and refine the innovative and strategic portfolio for their pillar.
  • Pillar leads will be accountable for the broader pillar evolution, progress to overall strategy, oversight and guidance of GTM and commercial materials associated with pillar offerings, speaking to the overall ROI of their assigned pillar (eg. aggregate TCM and revenue and where possible expense base). Prepares, maintains and delivers complex, content-rich presentations on vertical pillar related environmental trends and industry performance internally and as needed externally and to key clients.
  • Act as pillar business owner and collaborate closely with DSAE Product/Program Management function to guide portfolio through phases of ideation, design and testing, and monitor the maturation of capability assets which will enable transfer to the core RWS delivery organisation and enable scalable delivery approaches aligned with their pillar.
  • Reinforce and engage with RWE/RWS strategy of modularisation of delivery and enabling innovation to be plugged into individual studies across the RWS portfolio of offerings by supporting the design, implementation and ongoing operation of a Precision Innovation Model. Identification, escalation and proposed resolution of areas of risk to outcomes, timelines, client relationships, pillar strategy, revenue and margins.
  • Represent their pillar and innovation needs in the Technology and Vendor governance process. Provide insights, opportunity learnings and pillar requests as part of the overall governance cycle.
  • Working with leadership contribute to the set-up of a learning framework to review lived experience of project teams and GTM/client relationships on specific innovative projects and feed these experiences and learnings into the innovation portfolio and specific offerings for their pillar.
  • Continue an environment of continuous improvement and evolution by shepherding a ongoing feedback loop process for the portfolio of innovative studies under the pillar. Ensure project specific learnings are fed back into the portfolio and into ongoing refinement of the innovation agenda and specific offerings for RWS. Accomplish this in conjunction with relevant RWE/RWS stakeholders including but not limited to Emerging Delivery Project Leads, Delivery Unit Heads and Project Directors, Program Management and Delivery Process Design , GTM, RBU’s and other RWE/RWS stakeholders .
  • Participate in committee, taskforce and workstreams representing vertical pillar and area of expertise. Opine and engage with project and initiatives and provide context, framework, advice and guidance whether internal or client facing.
  • Support Delivery Strategy Review meetings as requested for innovative studies, evaluate feasibility of potential programs and impact on Pillar strategy and company operations and goals. Incorporate Data Strategists and Emerging Delivery Project Lead input into consideration.
  • Direct, supervise and manage all initiatives related to the pillar portfolio ensuring the quality of deliverables and manage maturation of innovation portfolio towards corporate timelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience of project management and/or project oversight in Real World research.
  • Experience of new business pursuit and client engagement to create and deliver real world evidence projects.
  • Requires extensive CRO knowledge of multiple job areas obtained through advanced education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry must be strong, with health care industry experience a plus.
  • Must possess content knowledge and sufficient gravitas to exert external Thought Leadership. Viewed as a leading expert within the field by peers.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills, including a positive and professional attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to (a) meet short-term deadlines and multi-task in a very fast-paced work environment and (b) to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
  • Internally, must possess "horizontal and upward" leadership skills as well as poise, tenacity and the ability to manage multiple priorities that frequently change.
  • Ability to establish peer relationships internally across company departments and maintain effective working environment with peers, cross-functional teams, management and externally with clients, vendors and partners

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree B.A. Req
  • Master’s Degree MBA Pref
  • 15 years relevant clinical research experience with multi-regional and global focus including 9 years leadership experience. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Detailed experience and knowledge of study, project and drug development processes.
