Summary of Responsibilities :Reporting to the Director of Group Sales, your essential duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide professional, personable and engaging service at all times
  • Support sales managers in achieving objectives for assigned market segments
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of the strategy and annual action plans specific to the assigned markets
  • Prepare, send, follow up and archive all required correspondence with clients in assigned markets (proposals, contracts, booking confirmations...)
  • Take responsibility for the planning of all inspection visits specific to the assigned markets by ensuring effective communication with clients and all departments involved
  • Ensure that for all groups, all required steps are completed, functional and aligned with the signed terms according to the established process (coordinate with the resources involved the entries in the price and inventory systems, communicate payment terms with accounting, coordinate links, provide the convention and banquet departments with all the required information and assistance...)
  • Participate in the determination of pricing in the assigned markets within the parameters specific to the assigned market and determined by the company (using IDEAS)
  • Participate in in-house and off-site activities such as inspections, familiarization trips, destination activities, etc. as required
  • Respond to guest calls and coordinate requests and special projects in an efficient and professional manner
  • Liaise with guests in the absence of the managers
  • Prepare monthly, weekly and annual reports as required
  • Manage priorities and execute tasks within specific deadlines
  • Apply LQA technical and emotional standards
  • Participate in pre and post conference meetings
  • Have a professional attitude, be supportive and maintain composure at all times
  • Respect the company’s standards
  • Respect the policies and procedures of the department
  • Respect ergonomic standards in terms of Health & Safety
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience in the field of Sales required
  • Fluency in French, English and German verbal and written
  • Mastery of the Office package
  • University degree in a related discipline is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of Micros and Opera software is an asset
  • Ability to focus on the needs of guests, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Candidate must occasionally be able to travel and be available for after-hours inspection visits


Visa requirements: In order to work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be a member of a European country from EU-17 or EU-8.
