IQVIA seeks a Geneva-based global public health professional to support its business and strategic partnership development activities with Geneva-based and other Global Health Headquarter clients. This role will help design and implement effective strategies for account management, relationship building, and lead generation with the world’s leading global public health institutions. Critical functions include supporting advocacy efforts to position IQVIA as a preferred partner for global health organizations, including nongovernmental funding agencies, bilateral/multilateral agencies, and INGOs.

Working closely with and collaboratively with the Geneva-based Account Director, Public Health, the role is responsible for helping to scope, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with relevant stakeholders in each account, engaging new audiences when necessary, and participating in strategic or critical business discussions at headquarters and/or country mission levels.

Your missions:
  • Working closely with the Account Director, help identify and develop key account and stakeholder relationships
  • Gather strategic intelligence regarding key donors, with a focus on understanding their priorities, funding cycles, and upcoming calls for proposals. Collate and share insights into competitive positioning, demand trends, and client feedback.
  • Provide inputs and insights into proposals and help to improve proposal development processes
  • Conceptualize ways to increase the share-of-voice to create high visibility and unique positioning of IQVIA as trusted healthcare advisor and work with Account Director and the Public Health Practice and others to implement initiatives to support outcomes.
  • Support the maintenance and developing of relationships with traditional and non-traditional donors to identify their funding priorities and trends.
  • Deliver activities for business development including writing high quality concept notes and project proposal, in close collaboration with Public Health Practice across other geographies.
  • Work closely with Public Health Practice leadership and Account Director to provide guidance on translating early discussions with potential partners into concept notes and project proposals. Develop internal and external communication material, including project updates and organizational profiles, for key accounts.
  • Implement and maintain institution-wide processes and tools to facilitate information management, internal communications, and timely follow-up in the pursuit of new partnership and funding opportunities.
  • Work with and support Account Director to Identify and develop leads for business opportunities for potential funding from development partner to maintain and increase organizational growth.
  • Advise and assist Account Director at headquarters level and country level at IQVIA to maintain strategic relationships with project donors to expand Public Health Business.
  • Develop an integrated approach for addressing client needs and driving client interactions, ensuring that our people are working in a consistent and coordinated way.
  • Drive participation in the client feedback process.
Your profile:
  • Master’s Degree in public health, political or social sciences, law, economics and/or finance, international development or a related subject.
  • A minimum 3-5 years of working experience working for a governmental, intergovernmental and/or non-governmental organization and/or private sector (especially in Global Health) is preferred, including potential experience in fundraising, project development, and donor relations. Experience with Geneva-based institutions is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with major topics in global health, including equity, sustainability, infectious disease management, and population health.
  • Relevant knowledge of funding procedures of international organizations and major donors.
  • Knowledge of resource mobilization from non-traditional sources would be an asset.
  • Interest in business development in the space of services and solution selling. Able to quickly get a good understanding of consulting solutions and be comfortable in crafting and making an elevator pitch to external stakeholders.
  • Particularly skills working in teams and across teams, working with various internal and external stakeholders. Ability to quickly understand and translate account requirements to ensure successful delivery. Sensitive to cultural and organizational differences with the ability to build and manage relationships at a senior level
  • Extremely well organized, efficient, and proactive with the ability to deliver in a timely manner. Taking ownership and working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills and a proactive approach. Should be strong on follow ups and have problem solving ability.
  • Given the nature of the job, maintaining personal flexibility to meet deadlines is key. Ability to manage many multiple tasks and client requirements simultaneously is required.
