Position based in Switzerland and Japan

The purpose of this role is to support our Japanese subsidiary to perform the transition from the current PowerBI analytics ecosystem to Google Looker.

Leveraging your expertise in PowerBI and the competencies you are going to acquire on Looker (SQL and LookML), you will be in charge of maintaining the current PowerBI dashboards’ portfolio (15 reports published to PowerBI Premium service accessed daily by 700 users) and progressively migrating them – and developing new ones – to Looker.

Your mission will be composed in 2 acts.

Act 1. Deep dive into Cartier data ecosystem, with a 6-month induction program in the central data team based in Villars-sur-Glane, Switzerland. You will there get to learn the data structure of the Maison, the specificities of our métiers, the initiatives we are working on.

Act 2. After this 6-month induction in Switzerland, you will then relocate to Tokyo, Japan, to integrate the data & analytics department of our Japanese subsidiary. You will be there in charge of maintaining the existing ecosystem of dashboards and reports, built on PowerBI. Then, you will leverage the knowledge acquired within the data team and you will be in charge of migrating and developing reports on Google Looker.

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS

Locally in Tokyo, in close collaboration with our central data engineers, data scientists and data analysts, you will build business-ready data models for analytics purposes. You will take the most out of our cloud data ecosystem, namely Google Cloud Platform and Google Looker, to provide clean, insightful, and governed data to our business users.

You will leverage your analytics skills to translate business questions into actionable dashboard for the entire organization.

You will apply software engineering best practices to analytics (version control, testing, continuous integration).

You will maintain the related documentation, materials & data definitions.

You will train developers and explorers on how to use the analytics platform to build dashboards and get actionable insights.

Y ou will actively participate to conferences and enroll in online courses in relation to analytics and cloud technologies.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCESS WITH US ?

You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or in any similar scientific field and 3+ years of experience in analytics and/or data warehousing, ideally in an international context.

You have a transversal understanding of cloud technologies, a first experience with Google Cloud would be a plus.

You have an experience working with PowerBI, developing in DAX.

You have a passion for SQL and cannot wait to earn your LookML developer certification (if you do not have one already!).

You have a good understanding of Agile/DevOps operating model and you like to work in a fast-paced environment, quickly delivering new features for demanding business users.
