Business Growth Leader – Advanced Performance Materials

The Advanced Performance Materials (APM) business at Chemours is a vital part of solving the world’s most challenging problems, creating a better, more capable future for all. As APM continues to grow, we are seeking a Business Growth Leaderwho can build (organically and inorganically) a substantial business around the Automotive market to join our high performing sales team! Are you curious, motivated, and always on the hunt to find the next sales opportunity? At Chemours you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most pressing opportunities within chemistry, working with a collaborative team that embraces innovation. You’ll report directly to Global Head of Sales – Advanced Performance Materials in our Geneva’s office or in one of our main hub in Europe, and work in an entrepreneurial fashion to drive significant sales growth within Automotive.

About the Team

The APM global sales function is a key enabler of driving growth for the organization. We have Account Managers focused on building and maintaining business with existing customers, some focused on managing relationships with our channel partners, and others finding opportunities with prospective customers. All of these roles are supported by and work seamlessly with phenomenal sales operations and customer service teams to help day-to-day operations run smoothly.

What you will be doing:

As the Business Growth Leader, you will be responsible for significantly accelerating Chemours’ revenue growth within the Automotive market, by developing and closing sales opportunities with new/prospective customers across the value chain. This is a highly visible role, serving as the core business development leader to develop and execute winning strategies to grow our business within this industry.

As a Business Growth Leader, you will:

  • Accelerate & Grow– market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships
  • Build & Nurture–relationships with new customersby selling and promoting new and existing applications across the value chain
  • Hunt & Win– Business deals to build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities over the strategic plan period.
  • Negotiate and Close– new business, significantly growing the book of business through opportunity identification and close
  • Plan & Manage– Analyze market strategies, deal requirements, and financials to develop business cases and assess fit of Chemours to potential customers
  • Advocate &Influence– Close new business deals by coordinating requirements (including internal priorities); develop and negotiate contracts; and integrate contract requirements with business operations.
  • Enhance & expand– Chemours’ strong industry reputation
  • Learn & Grow– Share best practices with his/her peers, management line, Global product managers, globally, to grow our market share
  • Strategize & Implement– Execute marketing plans, coordinating with marketing managers on product and market sector plans to develop new business

You are:

  • An industry veteran– You have extensive experience and network in the Automotive industry
  • A solution seller– You understand how to develop demand at customers by selling solutions, not pushing products
  • A proven winner– You have a successful track record of developing and closing opportunities with new customers

Role Requirements:

  • Technical degree
  • >10 years of sales and business development experience preferably in the Automotive industry, other High-Tech industries will be considered
  • Previous exposure to Global responsibility role a plus
  • Excellent command of English a must, other regional languages a plus
  • M&A and alternative deal structure experience
  • Significant network established in the Automotive industry;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with the Automotive industry
  • Proven ability to build relationships top level account decision makers, including C-Suite level executives
  • Sales and negotiations experience and/or training
  • Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision – highly self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented
  • Remote working experience mandatory
  • Willing to travel 25-50% (dependent on local COVID restrictions)

Preferred Skillsets:

  • Science related discipline (chemistry, engineering, etc.)
  • Minimum of 10 years business-to-business field sales experience
  • Automotive industry expertise
