Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible for building robust production and supply plans for our Konolfingen factory for one of our most sensitive products: Nestlé Powder Infant Formula Milks.

Respecting the agreed level of constraint capacity, you will ensure that finished and semi-finished goods are available with the highest quality, at the right stock location to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost (optimize service at the best E2E cost).

This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across different areas of our business including: factory planning, production, quality, finance, DSP teams across several markets and projects. The role will offer you a degree of autonomy to both challenge and recommend new ways of working. 

This role will allow you to be in a close touch with the Europe DSP community by being part of the Nutrition & Dairy Zone Europe Supply Planning team. You will have the chance to be in contact with all Nestlé EUR Nutrition & Dairy factory planners.

A day in the life of a Category Production Planner

 The key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Establishing an 18-month production plan for Nestlé Nutrition in the Konolfingen factory, within the scope of responsibility ensuring continuous product availability in all receiving locations.
  • Creating Committed Capacity, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments etc.
  • Supply planning: analyzing and evaluating the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs considering the network complexity and the supply constraints.
  • Creating a feasible and optimal production plan based on constrained capacity.
  • Identifying and effectively addressing all potential capacity issues in advance, working closely with multiple stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Identifying possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18-month horizon balancing flexibility and reliability.
  • Actively supporting the “Strategic Volume Planning” process by providing capacity simulations, scenario planning and contingency proposals.
  • Coordinating Annual Volume Commitment consolidation, volume forecast affiliates and is SPOC for Market Controlling.
  • Ensuring product availability and working closely with other streams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Looking after Inventories and ensure optimal levels, considering stock covers, DC’s capacity, production cycles and risk management.

What Will Make You Successful

The successful candidate will focus on providing a fantastic service in satisfying our customer demand whilst optimizing cost. To be considered for this role, we’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience: 
  • Relevant operational experience at market/business level, in at least one of the following areas: Production Planning; Factory Planning, Supply Network Planning / IMSP, Purchasing, Factory Production Leadership or Demand Planning
  • A detailed knowledge of inter-market supply planning best practices and processes
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple stakeholders both externally and internally
  • A good awareness and understanding of business and market trends
  • Fluent in English; German and/or French skills are advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to balance priorities and to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of your job
  • Being able to challenge the current status quo
