Present in Switzerland since 1997 in Geneva, Talan Switzerland now has nearly 100 employees. Initially focuse in the financial sector, Talan has developed in recent years in the watchmaking, insurance, media and services sectors and recently opened an office in Lausanne.

Today, we would like to strengthen our teams with a Digital Business Analyst.

As a Digital Business Analyst you will be responsible for defining the functional specifications of one or many products simultaneously. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the business to elicit, analyze and translate specific needs to produce clear, unambiguous business requirements and functional specification documents. You would become the Subject Matter Expert on the business’ requirements and act as the ’voice of the business’ for the Scrum Team when the Product Owner is unavailable.

PROCESSES

  • Follow-up your activities from end to end
  • Adjust, augment, and suggest improvement to existing processes within the Department
  • Identify improvements of existing processes in order to gain efficiency, productivity and overall satisfaction
  • Rely and respect Shared Services best practices
  • Be responsible of your quality and apply auto-control
  • Be accountable of defined gates
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks/impediments. Escalate appropriately when needed
  • Propose solutions to solve complex issues
  • Collaborate with your peers through Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Raise impediments which block you in your daily activities
  • Address cross team dependencies or issues with your peers

PORTFOLIO

  • Focus on quality: delivery on time, on budget and beyond expectations
  • Identify, manage risks, define the corresponding mitigation plan and escalate to the appropriate level as necessary
  • Apply guidelines, frameworks, and best practices defined by Communities of Practices
  • Focus on return on investment (ROI) when applicable
  • Requirements gathering and assessment vs business value or ROI
  • Identify and assess the impact
  • Create a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for the business
  • Write/update functional specifications document (FUS), data migration plan, wireframe, and business rules
  • Work with the QA to define the test strategy
  • Review functional impact of technical decisions
    • Facilitate decision making, and conflict resolution related to requirements and solution design
    • Animate and facilitate design sessions
  • Graduate in Engineering School, Master’s degree in Digital/Web technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in a similar role
  • Define requirements and solution design in agile methods including mapping digital user journeys
  • Review, analyze and create detailed documentation of business and Maisons needs
  • Collaborate with Scrum team members such as User Experience (UX) Designers, Visual Designers and Solution Architects. Be highly effective at supporting developers and testers in an agile application development environment.
  • Lead requirements, ideation and solution workshops
  • Translate information into written requirements which can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support the full lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance/incident management phases
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer/Testers in comprehensive end to end test cases at multi-application levels and participate in testing and in triage
  • Participate in the testing of newly deployed functionality and/or fixes
  • Manage precise and timely communication of issues and their resolution across the organization with the support of the Program Manager and Scrum Master
  • Ensure continuing operational quality by documenting issues/bugs and enhancement requests
  • Able to query micro-services with Postman, Datadog logs when needed
  • Good in SQL Queries with capability to retrieve/ analyze data and capture logs by running SQL Queries.
