Position Summary

As a Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of physical customer order fulfillment, distribution expenses optimization and logistics sustainability performance on behalf of the Businesses in Switzerland through the management of 3rd party warehousing and distribution operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Logistics, you will have to ensure the delivery of an outstanding sustainable service at minimum "cost to serve".

A day in the life of a Distriubution Manager
  • Correctly setting and monitoring achievement of the targets for service (OTD, OTIF), costs (FDE,VDE) and CO2 emission reductions.
  • Ensuring suitable Warehousing, transport and distribution options are defined for all Nestlé businesses under the responsibility of Nestlé Suisse
  • Managing complex logistics projects with various internal and external stakeholders to optimize Nestlé Suisse transportation, distribution or warehousing set-up (from factories to customers)
  • Having a structured approach towards continuous improvement with 3PL
  • Monitoring and managing Safety, Health and Environment, Quality and CARE regulations and Best Practices
  • Solving adequately any occurring logistics issues
  • Ensuring proper management of labor resources in the distribution.
  • Ensuring that legal obligations are met or exceeded
What Will Make You Successful
  • At least 5 years of relevant and successful operational experience in a leadership role in a business focused environment including Warehouse Management, Transportation experience or any other relevant Senior Supply Chain leadership role
  • Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas is beneficial: Customer Service, Demand & Supply Planning, Sales, Business Planning, budget control, cost management, Technical & Production
  • Purchasing Experience in the management of projects including Distribution Network Redesign High Performance Logistics Customer Logistics is an asset
  • Fluent in English and German, French is a plus
