We as METTLER TOLEDO want to further foster compliance & environmental sustainability within procurement to keep our company positioned for long-term growth. For our ’Global Procurement Excellence’ team we are looking for a ’Global Material Compliance Expert’ 80% - 100% (f/m/d) to strengthen our team of interdisciplinary experts with global reach.

In this role, your responsibilities are

* You develop, implement and manage the company’s material compliance programs, procedures and processes

* You monitor changes to regulations and understand which rules impact MT and its units on a global scale. Therefore you determine and implement necessary measures and give clear guidance to support the procurement personnel in the units

* You ensure and develop the collaboration and communication network, liaise with internal stakeholders such as ’Green MT’ or ‘Legal & Compliance" and secure early information from external sources

* You analyze, monitor and report key performance indicators and metrics. In addition, you prepare reports and maintain appropriate documentation (e.g. conflict minerals report) in compliance with regulations and laws

* You support the development and implementation of (third-party) software for collecting compliance data, ensure a proper data management and that regulatory questionnaires are submitted and completed

* You educate MT’s personnel and the suppliers about relevant regulatory and sustainability requirements. Therefore you develop and provide onsite training and counseling on material compliance topics. You establish and drive an easy to follow communication of material compliance activities

* You serve as a resource for global procurement and the units, provide consultation and guidance related to matters of material compliance and sustainability

* You manage or participate in cross-functional projects in the area sustainability. Therefore you evaluate, develop and implement appropriate solutions within procurement

What You Need to Succeed

* You have a Bachelor/ Master degree, preferably with a major or minor in business administration/ engineering, environmental & sustainability management or other relevant fields

* You bring at least 5 years of experience in global regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, conducting strategic projects in matrix organizations or consulting fields

* You have knowledge of REACH, RoHS, TSCA; as well as other related standards for environmental compliance

* You demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactivity and solution-orientation, get things done mentality and drive for change

* You are a logical thinker, able to recognize patterns and inconsistencies in data and identify possible causes as well as high proficiency level in Word, Excel and Power Point

* You are a good communicator in English and German across all hierarchy levels and have the ability to collaborate cross-culturally
