Within Strategy and Transactions, our Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team of EY Parthenon provides a full range of operationally focused services including M&A Integration, Carve-Out, Operational and IT Due Diligence and Operational Restructuring. Transaction Strategy and Execution works with cross-functional teams made up of members of both the acquiring and acquired organizations. We are looking for Consulants to join our practice as of spring 2022.

The opportunity

Your key responsibilities

• In your role as Consultant, you will work on integrations, carve-outs, corporate restructuring and other types of M&A transactional engagements in project teams directly with our clients
• You will be exposed to a variety of industries (e.g. lifescience, health, retail, industrial products, etc.) and functional areas (e.g. finance, supply chain, HR, IT, legal, etc.)
• You will be working on a wide range of strategy and M&A transactions topics (e.g. exit readiness, synergy assessment, IT / operational due diligence, operating model design, integration blueprint design, legal entity setup, day 1 and 100 readiness, transitional service agreement (TSA), etc.)
• You will play a key role in gathering / assessing information and communicating recommendations
• You will compile and present information verbally, visually and in writing
• You will implement and execute client recommendation in collaboration with the project teams to fulfill project goals
• You will help maintain professional relationship with our clients at appropriate levels
• You will help build an open and inclusive work environment

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• A degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field
• At least 1-2 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience
• Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional or extracurricular setting
• Sharp logical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and German or French.
• Ability and willingness to travel

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Readiness to learn and develop new skills
• Solid project management skills, strong presentation skills and client-oriented attitude
• Strong team player mentality to proactively drive solutions within highly motivated and diverse teams across functions, countries and regions
