Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world’s leading manufacturer of laboratory scales, we are looking for the Greifensee location, METTLER TOLEDO’s global operational headquarters, for an enthusiastic Head Competence Center Project Leadership.

This is a strategic key position to promote and further develop project leadership skills for complex interdisciplinary innovation- and NPDI-projects

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Would Include
  • As team leader you ensure advancement and further development of 5 employees
  • You will tailor and optimize development processes to achieve an ideal speed- /cost- /risk-ration and initiate, plan, develop and lead strategic initiatives from early business ideas until product launch
  • Additionally you will lead national and international Strategic Innovation and New Products Development Initiatives (NPDI) projects and ensure continuity of MT-based project management know-how
  • Furthermore you will develop holistic and state of the art project- and requirements-management (SW,HW, Service) in order to secure mid and long-term growth also by designing innovative, unique solutions in weighing and process based standard solutions
  • Planning and monitoring project deadlines, budget, resources, deliverable and cost of goods manufactured belong as well to your tasks as the monitoring of relevant patents and designs
  • You will manage and further develop together with different Strategic Business Units the strategically important collaboration with 3rd party suppliers or external manufactures
  • Last but not least you will lead actual and future potential new growth platforms (NGP’s), manage pre-studies and drive technical innovation funnel
What You Need to Succeed

Following Requirements Are Necessary For This Role
  • You have a bachelor or master degree in an engineering discipline and at least 10 years relevant work experience in leading multiple projects. Experience in working in a large industrial and matrix driven company is required
  • Further education like IPMA Level B or equivalent would be a big asset
  • Preferably experienced in the laboratory environment combined with knowledge of the manufacturing industry
  • Solid technical background, SW application and product development skills as well as experience in development processes is key to succeed in this role
  • You have several years of experience in leading a technical team
  • You are a networker with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate cross-culturally with colleagues, team members and customers around the world in English and German
  • You are open to travel up to 15%
