Job Overview

Responsible for Switzerland - Schaffhausen, Pratteln, Rotkreuz and Bevaix. HR professional services to a client group of managers and employees at GM+3 and below. Flexible to have customers throughout Switzerland. Fluent in Germany, French and English. Key responsibilities for Switzerland include:
  • Supports management in implementing established HR policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short- and long-term business needs.
  • Manages administration and implementation of various HR programs and policies such as recruitment, employee training and development, compensation, benefits, performance appraisal and recognition plans.
  • Works with managers to identify HR issues/problems and provides support in finding solutions.
  • Ensures compliance of TE’s practices with applicable labor legislation.
  • May present the position of TE during arbitration or other labor negotiations.
  • Applies the TEOA principles and tools to continuously improve HR processes and services.
  • Partner with BU HR - Sensor Solutions and Energy develop/deploy any BU initiatives / needs, + Corporate, Legal, TEIS, Global functions
  • Partners with management to develop and maintain employee relationships to create a respectful working environment for all sites through communication, performance management, and processing grievances and/or disputes.
  • Advises line managers on personnel procedures and precedents.
  • Investigates and resolves day-to-day employee relations problems, either directly or through advice to line management.
  • Investigates and drafts grievance replies.
  • Participates in the recruitment process, placing internal and external ads, narrowing down candidates, and preparing documentation.
  • Helps develop, modify and deliver training programs
  • Review of personnel related documents for accuracy and completeness, maintaining files and records of a confidential nature, and preparing periodic standardized reports.
  • May process various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.
  • Provides support for administration, basic configuration and maintenance of time & attendance system
  • Provides manager/employee access to and training for time and attendance system
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor’s degree or above or equivalent experience; HR related major preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English, French and German
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization
  • Customer Service mindset; Drive for Results
  • Autonomous; Self-confident and able a high level of multi- tasking
  • Geographically flexible
  • Has served as an HR business partner, generalist or in other HR disciplines (HR Operations/Comp & Benefits/Talent Management) which provided both vertical and horizontal exposure and experience.
  • Detects internal and environmental changes and is able to use available resources in a timely, flexible, affordable and relevant manner, in order to respond to those changes effectively.
  • Must possess substantial knowledge of applicable local employment laws and practices.
  • Experience working in global or international organizations.
