Within Strategy and Transactions, our Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team of EY Parthenon provides a full range of operationally focused services including M&A Integration, Carve-Out, Operational and IT Due Diligence and Operational Restructuring. Transaction Strategy and Execution works with cross-functional teams made up of members of both the acquiring and acquired organizations. We are looking for Consultants to join ourpractice starting from summer 2022.


The opportunity

  • Each team member draws upon their unique operational, IT and technical skills to support both private equity and corporate clients, spanning a wide range of industries


Your key responsibilities


  • In your role as intern, you will work on integrations, carve-outs, corporate restructuring and other types of M&A transactional engagements in project teams supporting other team members on clients engagements
  • You will be exposed to a variety of industries (e.g. lifescience, consumer products and retail, industrial products) and functional areas (e.g. finance, supply chain, HR, IT, legal, etc.)
  • You will be working on a range of strategy and M&A transactions topics (e.g. exit readiness, synergy assessment, IT / operational due diligence, operating model design, integration blueprint design, legal entity setup, day 1 and 100 readiness, transitional service agreement (TSA), etc.)
  • You will play a key role in gathering / assessing information
  • You will compile and present information verbally, visually and in writing
  • You will help build an open and inclusive work environment


Skills and attributes for success


To qualify for the role you must have


  • Studying towards a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field
  • Some applicable industry and/or consulting internships experience
  • Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional or extracurricular setting
  • Sharp logical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability and willingness to travel


Ideally, you’ll also have


  • Readiness to learn and develop new skills
  • Project management skills, presentation skills and client-oriented attitude
  • Team player mentality
