Position Summary

In order to reinforce the Procurement team of our operating company Nestlé Suisse SA, we are currently looking for a Local Strategic Buyer for R&D procurement categories.

Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, your main responsibilities will be to develop, communicate and implement sourcing strategies for the Logistics procurement category.

A day in the life of Local Strategic Buyer - R&D

  • Define and implement local procurement strategies within the R&D procurement category (Clinical Trials, Industrial Consulting, Academic support…) utilizing the Nestlé Strategic Sourcing Process.
  • Act as a Procurement Business Partner to the R&D function to proactively understand the business needs and requirements – in particular team-up with the different R&D Centers to set-up and implement an ambitious cost saving project program.
  • Perform supplier market analysis, category analysis and develop TCO understanding.
  • Be Procurement contact/support for R&D Accelerator/Incubator Programs.
  • Gather data and convey local business requirements to transmit them to Above Market teams in order to set actions/strategies accordingly for regionally managed categories within R&D.
  • Ensure compliance to Nestlé’s business principles, policies, standards and procurement policies.

What Will Make You Successful
  • University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Procurement, R&D or Project Management related function.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with different stakeholders across a complex organization.
  • Fluency in English and French, German is an asset.
