Job Description
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join the Thermal & Specialized Solutions team with focus on the European Refrigerants Market.
The position is based at the Company regional HQ in Geneva and aim at supporting the Marketing activity for EMEA region.
The scope of the job extends to all aspects of the regional Chemours Thermal & Specialized Solutions EMEA organization within the area of accountability. The job requires strategic input and expert support to regional management and support to the execution of local and regional Marketing Strategies. Primary focus will be on our leading product brand Opteon™, helping analyzing market needs and trends, monitoring competitive and regulatory changes, supporting the development of our divisional Value Proposition and of our Chemours sustainability talking points.
The job requires flexibility and ability to apply expert knowledge to a variety of issues.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will report to the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA TSS and will work with Chemours TSS international Team to provide Marketing support with focus on refrigerants.
  • Contributes to plan, create, and execute marketing activities, communication strategies, technical and socio-economic trends, and regulatory evolution analysis.
  • Cooperates and coordinates activities with Marketing, Sales, Technology, Product Management, Advocacy and Product Stewardship groups.
  • Manages marketing projects related to Heating, Ventilation, A/C, Refrigeration (HVACR) markets, with specific focus on Stationary and Transport Refrigeration, Stationary and mobile Air-condition, Heat Pumps and Thermal Management, supporting the business strategic growth objectives.
  • Helps driving proactive communication campaigns pertaining the long-term sustainability of our products and solutions.
  • Helps developing articles, talking points and literature in cooperation with Marketing and with the regional and global Communication groups.
  • Contributes to maintain marketing and business development processes through gate reviews and internal presentations at a regional and global organizational level.
  • Develops and maintain relations with relevant industry pears, associations and regulatory organizations to monitor and support the regional marketing communication strategy.
  • Participates in conferences, seminars, customer meetings, trade shows, panels etc. as required, to present and defend Chemours Value Proposition and to gather information on market and regulatory trends, technology, and inputs relevant to building the divisional Marketing Strategy.
  • Aligns with the company brand standards and strategies to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Travels to customers, events, internal and external meetings in the region whenever required.
ROLE CAPABILITIES
  • Able to perform all duties of a marketing professional as needed for the company’s lines of business.
  • High level of independently and project management skills: the candidate must possess strong skill in working autonomously, on top of excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills internally and externally.
  • Sales acumen, proven customer-facing experience, and ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Marketing and communication skills - ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into effective communication strategies and tactics.
  • Capability to identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas for future NBD programs.
  • Experience with the chemical industry/market Product (refrigerants) and/or Application (HVACR) knowledge would be a definite plus.
  • Skills in sustainability and environmental policies would be a plus, alongside with business understanding on Regulatory issues.
  • Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams within an international and multicultural organization and customers & partners.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Very strong written communications skills in English (written and verbal fluency) are required. Other European languages are value adding (particularly French, German, Italian, Spanish).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing. Primary experience in B2B, preferably in an international environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject or related field of study.
  • Ability to act with initiative and independence and excel in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong Team player with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Computer and social media literacy with digital marketing experience.
  • Technical skills necessary to understand, interpret and elaborate a technical message.
  • Experience with sustainability, green solutions is a plus.
  • A background in chemical or/and refrigeration applications would be a definite plus, along with a background in Market, Product or Application development.
