Position Summary

To complete our Payroll Team based in Nestlé Suisse, we are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist.

At our HR Employee Services Shared Services Department, we focus on administrative, project, operational and payroll support for the HR Function. Our mission is to ensure consistency, effectiveness and efficiency across Nestlé entities in Switzerland.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will engage with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure best in class payroll processing. You will contribute to continuous improvement, working closely with several partners, including the HR Community and our external payroll provider.

A day in the life of a Payroll Specialist

Payroll Management
  • Supervise and ensure timely delivery of salary payments (incl. off cycles) and management of bank transfers.
  • Supervise and ensure timely and accurate establishment of annual salary certificates and annual statements related to AVS, cross-borders, accident and sickness insurance delivered by our external Payroll provider according to legal deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely implementation of resulting from Cantonal/Federal regulations.
  • Establish and improve payroll processes resulting from changes to legislation, internal regulations and guidelines and identified deviations in our processes.
Illness and Accident
  • Manage sickness and accidents loss of income indemnities, follow-up with HR Business Patners and coordination with internal and external insurances.
AVS, taxes and family allowances
  • Supervise and ensure AVS and taxes at source monthly statements to Authorities are timely and accurately delivered by our external Payroll provider according to legal deadlines.
  • Manage AVS and taxes at source invoices
  • Implement tax and social security/family allowances changes and ensure compliance with the principles and policies of the Company and with the Swiss legislation.
  • Support on complex requests related to social insurances such as AVS, family allowances, accident insurance, sickness insurance, maternity/paternity and military insurances, cross-borders, and taxes at source.
Financial reconciliations
  • Manage reconciliation of HR Accounts (taxes at source, social security, long term illness, accidents, etc.) in coordination with Finance department.
Audit (internal & external)
  • Provide reports and support for internal and external audits.
What Will Make You Successful
  • 2-3 years proven experience gained in Payroll
  • Good knowledge in social insurances
  • Good understanding of Swiss Employment Law
  • Good command of Excel and SAP HR, PY, Success Factors is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving attitude with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to build strong professional relationships
  • Ability to work in a multinational & complex environment managing external payroll providers
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, decision making ability, end user centricity
  • Manage senior stakeholders, influencing skills
  • Proficiency in French with very good knowledge of English, German would be an asset
