Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of M&M Sustainability team providing technical subject matter expertise (SME) connecting DuPont/M&M global sustainability goals and key suppliers.

Role Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Contribute and align procurement & sourcing strategy/needs with the sustainability strategic/business plan
• Builds the right competence and capability to manage the implementation of the sustainability goals into the suppliers
• Owns the plan to execute the sustainability strategy (all pillars), coordinating activity across suppliers and sourcing side of the value chain in all regions
• Co-design and implement a sustainable procurement & sourcing plan/framework for M&M Supply Chain
• Provides SME input to new business pursuits as required and is a trusted advisor to business stakeholders
• Introduce innovations to make step changes towards sustainable procurement;
• Drive disruption by applying creative thinking with execution excellence;
• Lead supplier performance management including improving sustainability & social responsibilities
  

Policy & Procedures

• Collaborate to the Global Sustainable P&S Policy and Procedures. Review and update as required to reflect evolving strategy, targets and standards
  

Strategy and Plan

• Understand DuPont/M&M Sustainability strategy and co-design/develop the P&S sustainable;
• Get close to our suppliers base and understand their strategy and thinking, implement/guarantee DuPont/M&M requirements aligned to the Sustainability Pillars/Goals
• Advocate and support the P&S organisation to be ambitious and bold on Sustainability matters
• Engage the supply base and procurement team in developing the detailed plans to sit beneath the DuPont/M&M Sustainability pillars This would include the top material issues as outlined in the Global Sustainable S&P Policy; supplier diversity, positive social impact in the communities we operate, a culture of health and safety, diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing, carbon footprint, reduction in waste, travel/fleet, circular economy plus others;
• Supplier diversity; understand the baseline for % spend via diverse suppliers, create compelling case for change, raise awareness, set targets/objectives, drive change
• Incorporate supply chain sustainability risk into our enterprise risk management framework and ensure our supplier onboarding processes reflect current strategy
• Development with country/regional/global knowledge.
• Working with the Category Management Team deliver a differentiated value proposition for clients which delivers beyond cost % of spend via Diverse suppliers.

Skills, Experience & Education Requirements

• Several years in business, commercial and/or supply chain management and procurement
• Demonstrated interest in Sustainability, ESG, and Diversity
• Experience of external client facing situations.
• Proven ability to deliver results in decentralised environments.
• Experience of working with suppliers globally
• Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in matrix global organization
• Ability to lead and manage projects as required including resource planning and reporting.
• Excellent numerical and commercial acumen
• Strong written and verbal English language skills, additional language an advantage.
