A position of Regulatory Specialist/Expert (100%/) in the Regulatory Team of the Group Product & Trade Compliance Department (GPTC).

GPTC provides regulatory intelligence and compliance solutions to Richemont Group internal stakeholders (Maisons & Regions). As a function-head department, we coordinate an international network of compliance managers within our businesses. The Department communicates relevant guidance and training for the purpose of implementing regulatory changes within the Group. We secure conformity across our supply chain & entities on multiple Product & Trade compliance topics, such as Product Claims, Packaging (e.g.: Eco-Design & Sorting), Circular Economy & other Product Environmental Regulations, Due Diligence on Materials Sourcing (e.g.: Conflict Minerals, EUTR), Product Compliance Schemes (e.g.: CE, UKCA, EAC), Precious Metal regulations (e.g.: Hallmarking), Chemicals (e.g.: REACH), Electronics (e.g.: ROHS, EMC), Tariff & Non-Tariff barriers, FTAs, on a worldwide scope.

As a Regulatory Specialist/Expert, you will primarily perform regulatory research, prepare internal guidelines, manage internal knowledge databases, and provide day-to-day consulting and training to our internal stakeholders.
  • This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position and may include other duties as assigned, but areas of focus will be as follows: Acquire/develop/maintain/deliver expertise on product & trade compliance regulatory fields (e.g.: regulations on Circular Economy, Packaging, Hallmarking, Chemicals, Electronic equipment, Merchandising Products) to support our international Group stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulations, identify & analyze product & trade compliance requirements across markets. Help the Maisons to launch new products or to access new markets.
  • Produce regulatory content, guidance, directives, tools, vulgarization materials, enterprise social media postings, share them in our systems, and deliver training (webinars, classroom, etc.) to our stakeholders.
  • Build a network of external stakeholders (industry associations, consultants, authorities, certification and testing 3rd parties) to help clarify regulatory changes and build compliance solutions for our businesses.
  • Support the deployment of harmonized processes for Conformity Assessment (e.g.: based on ISO 10377 principles) in the Group and deliver workshops to strengthen community and best practice sharing among product compliance managers from the Maisons.
  • Reflect & participate on the general continuous improvement of the services delivered by the Regulatory Team (regulatory intelligence, regulatory content production, conformity assessment processes in Maisons, etc.).

What You Bring To Our Team

  • General knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements for consumer products (e.g., Watches & Jewelry, Fashion, EEE, Packaging, Merchandising products).
  • Experience in regulatory research (regulatory databases and online resources).
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to summarize regulations and key impacts on both high-level and fine details. Ability to quickly assess and interpret new regulations, understand the bigger picture and easily translate raw risks to business impacts and solutions.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and strong PowerPoint presentation skills. You can deliver effective and engaging presentations (structure, design, the tone of your voice and the body language you convey). You have an ability to communicate with passion & leadership the topics you’ve made yours.
  • You work autonomously with minimum guidance, and with a high sense of diligence and attention to detail.
  • A good general culture, you are intellectually curious and motivated to learn new capabilities based on the needs of the department.
  • A consultative and cooperative way of interacting.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 (Specialist) or more than 5 (Expert) years of experience providing consultation, performing research, content writing in an international environment in the field of Regulatory Affairs / Legal / Risk Management / Quality / Sustainability, preferably in the Luxury, Retail, Consumer Products, Electronics, or Certification & Testing industry.
  • A master’s degree in law, business, engineering, chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in French and in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and knowledge management digital tools is a plus.
