About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Head, E-Commerce & Cargo Operations the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the mail and e-commerce in air cargo agenda, including operations, standards, managing the e-commerce portfolio of activities and being the mail point of contact for all postal affairs with the Universal Postal Union.

What Your Day Would Be Like

Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all topics touching the portfolio, your day would consist of the following technical, business development and project management activities:

Secretary to the Airmail Board (AMB) and any other related Cargo Services Conference (CSC) subgroups, lead the development of the agenda, drafting standards, resolutions, regulatory responses, run the meetings efficiently and produce the required outputs.

Responsible for the standards published in the ICHM, and associated materials together with the publications and commercial teams.

Responsible for e-commerce, operations and mail standards published in other publications.

Represent IATA in relevant industry forums and with industry stakeholders (in industry meetings, conferences, events, etc.)

Ensure relationships are developed to ensure access to insights, key innovations and trends useful towards the continued improvement process in airfreight related to e-commerce, cargo operations & handling and technology trends as they relate to delivering efficient and modern cargo processes.

Act as key liaison between UPU and IPC organizations to ensure mail activities support the overall vision of aligning to cargo processes.

Work closely in collaboration with key parties to ensure success is achieved on the above in the context of the larger global vision for safe cargo movements.

Support the commercial activities such as publications, events and CEIV with subject matter expertise and standards development.

Coordinate various ad-hoc project activities as required by the business.

We would love to hear from you if

Proven ability to develop and disseminate technical standards and a strong (e.g. 7-10 years) relevant professional experience in e-commerce /air cargo logistics, courier express or postal affairs with an excellent ability to develop and disseminate technical standards.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, ability to collaborate with people in a multi-cultural environment in different regions across the globe

Excellent written and spoken English with additional languages an asset.

Travel Required: 10-20
