EYCarbon is part of the sustainability service offering and focuses exclusively on all business issues related to decarbonization (from strategy development, target setting and implementation to reporting).

Your key responsibilities

In our Assurance Services, we strengthen society’s trust in global capital markets in various areas and foster sustainable growth. Our experts in the Climate change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team engage in various projects on ESG auditing. The topics range from sustainability coverage and auditing or integrated reporting to sustainability management advisory and the integration of environmental aspects in business processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  Working in a team environment to assist clients in developing or auditing sustainability strategies, decarbonization measures, and sustainability risks reports
• Generating project leads and sales of new client projects
• Developing and implementing tailored solutions and concepts for our clients
• Supporting go-to-market activities by developing and implementing thought leadership/studies, building and maintaining customer relationships, as well as preparing trainings
• Maintaining cooperative relationships with other sustainability teams within EY
• Monitoring the engagement team’s progress against the plan and alter it when needed
• Supporting client relationships, business development, and account management leadership

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• 
  5 to 10 years of professional experience in sustainability consulting, sustainability reporting, or in a comparable position
• Master’s degree in environmental science, business, accounting, environmental economics, sustainability, or similar field
• Excellent project management and team leadership skills applied in diverse circumstances with various sets of stakeholders, as well as experience generating project leads
• Passion for helping businesses and other clients become more sustainable
• Profound knowledge of sustainable products, services, and business models
• In-depth understanding and experience advising on the development of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, management systems and reporting approaches, as well as auditing of environmental management systems and sustainability reports would be assets
• Character of a self-starter who takes ownership for tasks and team performance, and proactively seeks out ways to better address our clients’ needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German and French is a plus
