We’re hiring a Supply Chain Management Lead!
Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture.
You will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, direction and structure to the Supply Chain Management functions at regional and Commercial Units Levels, ensuring that it is aligned with the overarching Seeds Supply Chain strategic priorities and business needs.

You Will Be Part of a Growing Team
You will manage cross functional discussion and agreements within the region with mainly Production, Sales, Logistic, QS, CS, finance.
You will also lead all tactical aspects of SCM functions, during the current time of rapid growth and modernization (through human resource professionalization, process streamlining and digitization), with a vision for proactively serving the need for higher visibility, efficiency and stewardship, supporting European Seed Production and Supply Chain capabilities for the delivery of goods and services with strong control and accountability.

Your Challenge:

  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Ensure Seed Supply Chain has an overarching regional SCM governance framework incorporating people, process, and technology.
    • Provide strategic leadership of proactive customer-centric SCM functions to meet Service Level Agreement expectations.
    • Represent Supply Chain at the executive level when discussing the vision for supply chain systems, structures, and strategies.
  • Team Management
    • Attract, lead and develop a team of global professionals to provide authoritative advice on all aspects of SCM, and support Country Programs and departments in their Supply Chain Management needs.
    • Create a talent development and performance management process for SCM staff across the Agency, in coordination with HR, to ensure that the right resources are in place and fully engaged.
  • Service Delivery
    • Lead SCM services, in maintaining operational efficiency and expediency, ensuring integrity and stewardship through a robust quality assurance framework; as well as rigorous, cost-effective SCM management service delivery.
    • Collaborate directly with Regional and County Teams in - and across – supply chain planning, sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, logistics operations, to ensure that SCM activities are fulfilled with the utmost professionalism.
    • Lead direct improvement, KPI monitoring and delivery of key strategic project / processes.
  • Performance and Compliance
    • Oversee all operational activities that are required to ensure SCM compliance, including internal controls, risk assessment and mitigation, forward planning, and performance management.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to capture, evaluate, and report on the performance of all SCM activities. Ensure that KPIs are used for continuous improvement and for strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure that best practices, ethics, industry standards, as well as relevant compliance requirements are understood and adhered to by all staff undertaking SCM activities across Europe, as well as all internal stakeholders.

Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to build trust, influence and facilitate the acceptance of new approaches and operating practices.
  • Represent Europe Supply Chain functions on cross-functional initiatives. Engage with the new system implementation and roll out teams to ensure strong and effective collaboration.
  • Strong connection with Commercial and Marketing team across Europe.

Qualifications


To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • At least 8 years of senior SCM experience, operational management experience, or experience in relevant service delivery, with at least 5 years within international organizations. Experience working in or with clients in developing countries preferred.
  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as Supply-Chain, Planning, economics, business, or a related discipline. Master’s degree with commensurate relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with proven ability to lead teams to deliver world class customer-focused excellence, within complex international environments.
  • Fluency in English required; working ability in other European languages is a plus.
  • Working fluency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, SharePoint, and Internet Explorer) required.
