Java Software Engineer

ROLE:

• Architect, design and implement generic mission-critical Java applications meant for industrial automation
• Apply state-of-the-art automated testing practices (unit, component, integration, acceptance tests)
• Ensure optimal integration of other layers (UI, hardware devices, cloud server)
• Work on packaging and automated deployment of software
• Apply best software engineering practices (testing, documentation code review etc.)
• Apply agile methodologies throughout the development process: challenge and clarify requirements
• Ensure timely delivery of top-quality features

PROFILE:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related field, Ph.D. is an advantage
• At least 3 years with a track record in Java
• Skilled in automated unit & system testing (including performance testing) and relational databases (PostgreSQL & Oracle)
• Familiar with the Linux environment, including shell scripting and software packaging
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to work in a team with diverse skills and matrix organization
• Positive personality who collaborates efficiently in an international environment, flexible and able to work well under pressure
• Fluent in English. French and other languages are always an asset
• Familiar with agile methodologies is a plus
