We are currently seeking for a Junior Analytical Chemistfor our new site in Muttenz, Basel-Land, Switzerland. The site is located in Getec Park.Swiss in Muttenz not far from our technical development center in Münchwilen which brings a new active ingredient rapidly from pilot plan to full-scale production.

Role Purpose
As part of the production and supply team you will be supporting the manufacturing processes and projects to achieve HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality), capacity and cost targets defined by the Supply Chain and/or Production for the portfolio of AIs (active Ingredient) he/she is supporting. You are generating and improving methodologies and to innovate in analytics related to the active ingredients.
Your Accountabilities
- You plan and carry-out laboratory work to develop, test new and improved analytical methodologies / technics on the portfolio of active ingredients you oversee
- You provide analytical work support to lab technician Team in heavy workload situation
- You provide expertise and coaching to other Labtech in spectroscopy area (e.g., MS)
- You are the referent of spectroscopics, chromatogragraphics and other technics if available in the lab
- You develop, train and coach potential direct reports (apprentices, junior lab techs) with support of experienced analytical chemist to improve their performance and to achieve higher professional standards.
- You ensure project data and information is stored in an electronic format and prepare technical reports to record and share the results of experimental programs and laboratory work
What are we looking for:
- Preferably a university of applied science degree in analytical chemistry or experienced educated lab technician
- Preferably a few years of experience in analytical chemistry in industry
- Knowledge and understanding in analytical science and technology
- Basic knowledge of systems for process changes and the potential implications on product quality - formulation, regulatory, etc
- Proven leadership skills with people and/or projects are advantageous
- HSEQ: Knowledge of systems and QA procedures and responsibility for compliance
- You are fluent in German and English; French or any other language are highly valuable
- You have a structured and autonomous way of working. You foster contacts and networks locally within interdisciplinary teams.
