We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Finance Specialist, who will support the Finance Specialists and the Director of Finance in handling a variety of activities and processes for the Swiss and US entities.

The ideal candidate loves numbers, balanced ledgers, accurate financial statements and easy-to-understand invoices.

This person must be familiar with accounting operations and be able to collaborate well across various functional teams and to understand business and finance requirements. Last but not least, our candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

This position will report to the Director of Finance and Administration based in Mendrisio.

What you will do as a Junior Finance Specialist:

• Support the Finance Team on accounting activities, prepare finance journal entries and account reconciliation reports
• Work with our accounting firm to provide cohesive and accurate bookkeeping processes to enable them to provide quality services for Cloud Academy
• Monitor banking transactions, conduct bank reconciliations and provide support on the preparation of the monthly treasury reporting package
• Support the month-end closing activities
• Manage account payables and receivables activities
• Assist in managing credit and collection activities
• Help optimise the overall finance operations and processes in terms of accounting and reporting

• The ideal candidate is a strong fit with the Cloud Academy values and culture, can collaborate well across the organisation and has a hands-on approach
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance team, preferably at an international company
• A self-starter, able to work effectively on projects and process improvements under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Curious and enthusiastic, not afraid to ask questions
• A great communicator who can build strong working relationships with external advisors and internal teams
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in order to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Excel
• You are very comfortable in communicating in English, both written and spoken

Bonus point:
