Das Ziel der Position:We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer – Frontend with a strong desire to move things and innovate. You are eager to learn new skills and to innovate to help Alpian stay on the leading edge of digital private banking. You should be heavily motivated by both our banking platform and our technology stack. This is a unique opportunity to build Switzerland’s first digital private bank and to rethink how banking is done in 2023 leveraging the latest Cloud technologies.

As a Junior Software Engineer - Frontend at Alpian, we expect you to ensure that you always have high quality in mind and will be working on web applications that delight our customers. You will actively participate in all aspects of software development and collaborate with backend software engineers, graphic designers, and user experience designers, plus our banking specialists.
You are highly motivated, result driven, and you like the details. You have a high sense of code ownership, constantly learning and enhancing your skills and understanding of computer science as a whole. Jobübersicht:
  • Understand the structure and design of web applications.
  • Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
  • Developing features to enhance the user experience.
  • Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
  • Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
  • Help with L3 support requests coming to the team
  • Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web applications.
  • Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.
  • Understanding and following the web applications architecture, design and development best practices
  • Work with the agile mindset and participate actively to the different ceremonials

Erfahrung / Fähigkeiten erforderlich:Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in front-end development
  • Some previous work on front-end development with one web application
  • Understanding of key design principles.
  • Understanding and some experience with client-side frameworks like React
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript.
  • Understanding of server-side CSS.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Understanding of SEO principles.
  • Strong motivation for complex challenges and learning new technologies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional-level English spoken and written

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with UI test automation
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
