The new Junior platform Engineer will report to Platform Engineering Manager, and will take care of providing solutions, information and support to colleagues, while learning on the job.

Platform Engineering takes care of developing and maintaining Nozomi physical appliances and in-house or cloud-based infrastructure and platforms, used by our Developers and security researchers.

Responsibilities
  • Act as first responder to requests for support or information.
  • Solve technical issues and fullfil requests for hardware or software.
  • Investigate appliances RMAs root causes and choose the appropriate repair steps.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on platforms and physical appliances.
  • Interact with colleagues and vendors to gather required information and respond to inquiries.
Requirements
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland - as Swiss or EU citizen or otherwise via existing permit.
  • Degree in the information technology sector.
  • Technology enthusiast: we work and support many technologies in physical and software worlds
  • Good understanding of Unix systems (Linux/FreeBSD) principles and activity
  • Understanding of virtualization and VMWare.
  • Understanding of IaaS platforms basics.
  • Good english communication skills, both written and spoken. B2 or higher level certification will be a preferential qualification. Able to convey technical information in a widely understandable format.
  • Service orientation: ideal candidate sees other needs, and steps in offering to help.
  • Good at organising him/herself in a structured way, completing and completing assignments with everything properly filled.
  • Able to deliver consistently even under pressure of concurrent tasks.
  • Programming skills in high-level language are a plus.
  • Ability to operate in settings with strong confidentiality and data privacy protocols.
