Your Role

Do you have a passion for software development, technology and the power of coding? Are you curious by nature and keen to apply your IT skills in practice? Are you looking for a challenge in a dynamic and international environment by developing solutions for a broad range of financial products?

We are growing our Core Banking team and are looking for an ambitious person in the early stage of their career, with a solid IT background and eager to make the first steps within the banking industry. While gaining experience in banking technologies and receiving training in our Core Banking system Avaloq, you will take over increasing responsibilities within the team.

As an (Avaloq) software developer, you will accompany the entire development process from requirements engineering and system design proposal and implementation, to testing assistance. You will collaborate closely with our internal clients for regular development work and in the course of implementing solutions in a broader project context. With your comprehensive understanding of the business and your interest in financial products and processes, you will contribute to the design of purposeful IT solutions, which have a direct impact on the core business of our bank.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop software solutions in Avaloq and surrounding applications
  • Improve and maintain existing tailored solutions in Avaloq
  • Assist and consult our business owners in the definition of functional requirements
  • Act as technical project lead in small to medium sized projects in yo
  • ur area of responsibility
  • Govern testing campaigns and activities for solutions developed in your domain
  • Coordinate your work with developers in related areas as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Plan and manage the development pipeline in your area of responsibility
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with software development, especially in Avaloq, is a plus
  • Interest in banking and finance
  • Willingness to take responsibility proactively across the whole development lifecycle
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and with various stakeholders
  • Business fluent in English
