About the role

This role is a genuinely exciting and unique opportunity to make your mark in a rapidly expanding organisation, within a well-established brand and global leader in life science products.

Our client is a young, dynamic start-up company full of talented people. This company has just joined a well-known multinational. The lucky candidate will be an active member of the R&D team, which is composed of 4 people.

This position will play a key role in the development and improvement of the embedded software that my client has created to control their robots.

Job duties

  • Design, develop and implement software by coding in C/C++ in Linux environment
  • Knowledge of best practices and desire to write beautiful and highly efficient code
  • Ensure software and hardware tests and troubleshooting of devices
  • Engage in systematic software maintenance, including unit and system testing
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Review, analyze, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems

We are looking for

  • Graduate of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven working experience in software engineering with preferably one to two years of experience in the industry
  • Demonstrated development capacity with object-oriented programming (C/C++ experience is mandatory).
  • Firm understanding of the Linux operating system
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team is essential
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Experience with Bash scripting, git user, CANbus and UART communications protocols is a plus !
