Vacancy: Junior Underwriter - Reinsurance (f/m/x)- We are looking for aJunior Underwriterspecialized in P&Cfor our client, a successful Reinsurance company based in Zürich. For this position, the employee in question will work directly for our client. Despite the Covid-19 situation, our customer is currently looking for motivated employees (f/m/x). The support, placement and all of our additional services are free of charge for you as the applicant.Your Responsibilities as Junior Underwriter - Reinsurance (f/m/x)
  • Technically assess treaty accounts / structures using natural catastrophe model results and statistical tools
  • Handling the full process of underwriting and monitoring the existing proportional and non-proportional treaty business within your defined responsibilities
  • Ensure underwriting excellence from technical pricing to contract wording
  • Close cooperation with Pricing Actuaries and Specialty Lines Underwriters
  • Monitoring and optimizing the reinsurance capacity consumption
Your Qualification And Skills
  • University degree preferably in Mathematics / Statistics, Science , Economics, Finance or relevant insurance qualifications
  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in treaty reinsurance
  • Strong interest in catastrophe insurance and aspiration of career development in treaty underwriting field
  • Good negotiating skills and assertiveness, particularly when dealing with brokers
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
