Key Account Manager - Your future position?

As Key Account Manager Taste & Wellbeing in Givaudan, you will be focusing on growing both Food and Nutra accounts in Switzerland leveraging Givaudan’s Functional & Nutritional Ingredients and Flavour & Taste portfolio.

You will operate at the forefront of innovation and participate in creating products that will find their way to consumers through supermarkets, pharmacies, drugstores and foodservice channels.

We are looking for an experienced and energizing professional, with an extensive understanding of new product development within their current industry. Previous experience with food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be based in Kemptthal, Switzerland, and report directly to the Country Sales Director.

In this exciting job you will:

  • Proactively generate a broad base of new business opportunities with a focus on new account hunting in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sector while maintaining existing relationships with all levels at assigned key accounts.
  • Assess customer product needs and requirements and develop/execute plans to meet/exceed expectations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, SWOT, and competitive analysis
  • Closely collaborate with related departments and build a strong network of internal and external relationships (Industry/Customer/Vendor) to help projects successfully cross the finish line.
  • Ensure Givaudan is well-positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core lists

Your professional profile includes:

  • Minimum 3-5 years successful sales, marketing, or customer relationship experience in an innovation-driven industry such as food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, packaging, chemicals. Job level flexible KAM or Junior KAM depending on experience
  • BSc / MSc in business or related technical field (Technical or Marketing/Sales)
  • Self-aware with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Able to handle complexity, balancing quality and detail with pragmatism and hands-on problem solving
  • Strategic business and commercial insight, with the courage to take calculated risks to achieve growth
  • Fluency in German and English is a must, French is a plus
