We are now looking for a CAD Designer (m/f/d)to join our team.

The Field Services and Workshop team are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate to join Wärtsilä Services Switzerland Ltd, although as this is a global, remote position and applications are welcome from anywhere in the world!

As CAD Designer your work will focus, but are not limited to, these responsibilities:

• Creating and modifying 2D-drawings out of 3D-models and drafts
• Changing and, if necessary, creating 3D-models
• Checking 2D-drawings regarding formal and technical accuracy
• Supporting specialists in writing design guidelines and instructions
• Safeguarding the functionality of designed products
• Preparing design work for outsourcing purposes and checking the results of finished work
• Writing modification notices and leading technical meetings for preparations
• Transferring knowledge to other design group members
  
  

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

• Graduation from apprenticeship as a draughtsman
• Excellent user skills in 2D / 3D-CAD, UG NX
• Excellent design skills
• Accurateness and quality orientation
• Self management ability
• Problem solving skills
• Openness and flexibility
• Good English language skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills
• Understanding of marine business and experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is beneficial
