Our Data Insights & Analytics Team coordinates the analytics and digitalization processes relevant to the Protection Management conscience of SWISS. We look for a digitalization specialist with data analytics fluency, a strong IT affinity and an interest in aviation risk management and flight safety.

Tasks

You will actively support safety and risk related decision-making across all operational domains of SWISS with data storytelling and advanced analytics. You will act as an analytics translator and as a developer of data products and automation solutions.

Collaborate across the operations division to identify analytics/automation opportunities and facilitate access to data and insights
Design and implement dashboards to support insights (on Tableau and Power BI)
Define and improve data flows and support the development of a comprehensive data analytics layer (SQL databases)
Develop small-scale data science products (i.e. NLP for analyzing safety reports)
Automate internal processes with the tools like Metastorm BPM and SharePoint
Contribute to the research and development of safety and risk management concepts that leverage advanced data analytics
Support the development of external data science project partnerships
Support the establishment of an analytics competence center for SWISS Protection Management

Requirements
4+ years of relevant work experience or university degree with analytical focus (computer science, mathematics, physics, data science, etc.)
Experience in programming and knowledge of at least one language (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
Expertise in data visualization, previous experience with Tableau preferable
Experience in or willingness to learn business process management tools
Strong technical understanding and openness to learning new processes and technologies
Able to analyze complex situations and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Reliability, autonomy, self-motivation and flexibility
Fluent in English, German is a plus
