Tasks
  • Develop concepts and functions in challenging agile software projects
  • Contribute your know-how to our software platform(s) and develop machine-specific applications
  • Define the software architecture by following secure software development processes
  • Continuously refactor your code and implement unit tests accordingly
  • Challenge software requirements and implement suitable acceptance tests
  • Test new developments at the factory or directly at customer sites worldwide
  • Responsibility for the overall application software
  • Collaborate with UX designers and HMI programmers and promote as well as maintain a mutually prolific, procreative review culture
  • Collaborate and liaise directly with the hardware and mechanical engineering department as part of interdisciplinary project teams

Required Qualifications
  • Technical education in software engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in agile software development
  • Experience with PLC Programming (Codesys is a plus)
  • Embedded C as well as embedded operating systems (e.g.Linux)
  • High sense of quality and clean code enthusiast
  • Ability to explain software architecture and design in spoken and written form (with diagrams)
  • Good knowledge in object-oriented software programming and in source control management (e.g.Git)
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and perseverance
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex situations
  • Highly self-organized covering multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good team player
  • Willing to travel about 10%

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous exposure to high level languages (C++/C#) is a plus
  • Knowhow in industrial automation installations and the convergence of OT and IT
  • Practical experience with Scrum or SAFe
