Job Description

More than 3000 medical associates worldwide will benefit from your work! As Director Learning Innovation for Pharma Medical Affairs, you will drive the transformation of medical capabilities via the delivery of impactful, customized, fit-for-purpose and innovative capability building programs. You will closely interface with learning innovation strategy and medical subject matter experts to leverage and synergize best practices.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the Head of Medical Capability Building in shaping and contributing to the setting of Pharma medical learning and Capability Building framework and strategy.
  • Collaborating and partnering with medical Subject Matter Experts (Global, Regions and Countries) using data-driven decision making to identify capability gaps/needs for optimal learning solutions
  • Delivering on critical capabilities for all roles, via a transparent, timely and structured curriculum for a development journey, aligned with medical strategy, launch roadmap and globally defined competencies
  • Developing, designing and delivering where appropriate, fit for purpose onboarding and learning solutions for a “growth mindset”, resulting in customized, transformative and innovative learning delivery methodologies to maximize engaging and adaptive learning. Build enterprise-wide implementation plans that include learning content build/buy strategies, prototyping and validating approaches
  • Contributes to enhancing our capabilities framework to provide an ecosystem platform that leverages intelligent technologies and data science supporting skill interoperability (platforms, metadata tags, algorithms)
  • Setting consistent global learning standards (aligned with Global Pharma Learning and Novartis Learning Institute), and establishing a hub of capability building expertize while partnering and co-creating with key stakeholders, across functions and divisions to leverage best practices and synergies
  • Implementing formal measures to ensure continuous improvements, behavioral change measures and impactful capabilities’ progress via measureable objectives and pre-agreed KPIs
Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • ≥5 experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare companies including experiences in countries and/or global organization (Drug Development/Medical/Commercial). Or ≥5 years capability building experience in a technology company.
  • Digital learning solutions, and Training experience
  • A strategic thinker with pragmatic, innovative and entrepreneurial approach and ability to manage and lead with ambiguity. Curious learner, thoughtful, innovative with strong digital affinity.
  • Advanced communication skills: used to influencing across a range of specialist and general audiences at all levels of an organization; clearly presenting complex issues and straightforward solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills with an absolute customer-centric passion; sustains collaborative relationships across a diverse international and de-centralized organization.
  • Leading, influencing and negotiating in often complex, cost and resource sensitive situations. Project management and implementation skills
