Head Schindler EPFL Lab (m/f/d) 80 - 100 %

As the head of the Schindler EPFL student lab you are responsible for driving university projects within institutes as well within student theses and internships. You foster the exchange with professors, academic staff and companies present in the university environment. Further you keep up to date with latest research done at the university as input for new technologies or other Schindler group projects.

Main tasks include:

• Driving innovation topics forward and screening and hands-on on new technologies, especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation
• Lead of the student teams at EPFL including actively acquire and coach student projects (master thesis, internships), mainly in the area of digital, computer science, machine learning, robotics
• Propose potential projects with university labs and guide them
• Forster exchange with professors, students and companies in the university environment
• Deal with administrative requests associated the EPFL Lab
• Attract new talents at the EPFL and host innovation events at the EPFL Lab

Further requirements may include:

• Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Information Technologies, EPFL graduate preferred
• Experience with the EPFL environment
• Technology generalist with state-of-the-art knowledge in the required engineering area and the ability to deep dive in a new topic in a fast way
• Understanding of the relevant customers and market
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum,etc.)
• Profound language skills in English, knowledge in German, French and Italian is optional
