Effective management and coordination of Europe Regional Training Managers, responsible for delivering high quality training to enhance sales force capabilities and performance. The Head of Vision Care Training Europe works closely with the Global Performance Development team and key Europe and GEM stakeholders to ensure appropriate Vision Care training strategy is implemented and executed at country level and across the wider EMEA region. This includes the implementation of standardized technical and selling skills programs in alignment with Europe regional and global initiatives. Head of Training also has responsibility in cooperation with the Commercial Excellence team for assessing Europe sales and sales management teams’ core competencies through the (SDA) Sales Development & Advancement process to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement by country and tailors training appropriate to identified needs.

Main Accountabilities
  • Ensure every Europe Vision Care field force member has the skills, knowledge and competencies (e.g. product knowledge, selling skills, selling process and using selling tools) to win against competition in accordance with an aligned Europe field force development pathway
  • Consistently increase the Vision Care field force’s skills, knowledge and competencies over time to create the best field force in the industry.
  • Ensure needs of key leadership stakeholders (e.g. Europe SFE, GPD, Vision Care Leadership Team) are met.
  • Drive performance of Vision Care Regional Training Manager team to ensure continuous improvement in execution and training team ROI
  • Ensure consistent content and execution of Vision Care training and field force development pathway across the Europe Region
  • Lead and/ or participate in key Europe SFE cross-franchise projects to cross-pollenate best practices across the entire EMEA field force.
  • Ensure the best tools and approaches are used for each training to maximize impact and minimize cost (e.g. online vs. face to face/ internal vs. outsourced training resources)
  • Coordinate the support new product launches in collaboration with IMG and country Marketing and Professional Affairs Teams
  • Ensure Certification of all Europe trainers to deliver core Europe approved Training programs
  • Coach and mentor Vision Care Regional trainers
Requirements
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Science, or Health
  • Preferred: MBA or Master’s in Science or Health
  • Fluency in English essential. Knowledge/Fluency of at least one other language preferred
  • Minimum: 3 years Vision Care technical and commercial training experience
  • Minimum: 3+ years of consistent high performing experience in Healthcare Sales and Sales Management. 3+ years of consistent high performance as a sales trainer in Healthcare
