Manager, International IT Business Partner Marketing & Digital engagement


This is what you will do:

The Manager, International IT Business Partner Marketing will serve as an IT liaison, technical advisor, and main point of contact to capture demand and ensure value delivery to the International marketing, TAs, Brands and Digital engagement teams. This is a pivotal role to ensure business and IT partnership along with alignment to build our next generation of digital & IT capabilities enabling multichannel/omnichannel engagement for targeted actions, and insights.

She/he will be responsible for managing our International Digital marketing projects and assets portfolio, from demand intake, requirements gathering and prioritization, solutions co-design, promotional and medical content coordination, implementation and change management, to operationalization and support for innovative solution and value delivery within our International region .

Key member of our international cross-functional Digital governance, the role is based in our Zurich International HQ and member of the International IT Team reporting to the International IT lead (head of IT for the region) .


You will be responsible for:

  • Acts as a trusted partner working in close relationship with the Digital marketing & Marketing/Tas teams at regional and country level to understand key processes, business needs, gaps and opportunities, and, together with our Enterprise services delivery and COEs (Digital, IT Go to market, Cybersecurity, architecture, Data & analytics, Privacy, etc.) to deliver best in class digital capabilities, innovative solutions and value to our business, HCPS and patient (including MVPs, pilots and proof of concepts).
  • Manage our International Digital marketing projects and assets portfolio, from demand intake, requirements gathering and prioritization, solutions co-design, coordination build, implementation, and change management. This include being able to act with agility switching from ITBP to SME, BA, ITPM and SDM based on size and complexity of the initiative.
  • Responsible for related functional roadmap creation, update, cross-alignment, and execution.
  • Key contributor supporting our International cross-functional Digital governance
  • Ensure strong liaison with our Global Digital COE, ensuring IT/Business capability, medium/long term vision and strategy.
  • Work closely and ensure full synchronization with our allocated International capability service delivery lead from our Global Digital COE.
  • Manage and Coordinate for success external partner/vendor/agency from onboarding , alignments , oversee, coordination and administration ( performance tracking, invoicing, Budget , …) .

You will need to have:


  • Broad marketing and business acumen with IT Business partnership, Analyst and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Digital transformation, enablement, and engagement platform design, SAAS solutions, websites & apps, architecture (hosting, Ux, etc,.), mobile app, medical devices, digital analytics, and insight, integrating cybersecurity & GDPR requirements
  • Strong project management skills, SDLC, business transformation and change management experience.: Experience in project management (hybrid-waterfall-agile), development and support of complex projects and solutions. Experience in RFI/RFP and new vendor onboarding
  • Must have strong multicountry knowledge and experience designing and delivering digital platforms and portal, mobile apps, website & landing pages, SEO, Social listening, virtual meetings, webinars and e-congresses, interactive visual aids, approved email, social channels, Marketing Automation, and projects across customer journey, channels and technologies, ensuring end to end integration, analytics & insights.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external SME and technical resources such as Digital Leads, PMs, Data Analysts and Full Stack Developers to execute software development processes, DevOPs capabilities & Tools (eg: JIRA & Confluence) and managing digital delivery processes and procedures.
  • Experience in multicounty digital solution (for example engagement portal rollout) in partnership with Digital, Marketing, IT COEs and IT Agencies (Alexion Digital Factory and country resources)
  • Experience building a business case and pitching documented projects to a solutions alignment executive boards and highlighting value creation, risk and effort and validate and align the project with enterprise plan.
  • Fluent in English Additional EU language is a plus

We would prefer for you to have:


  • PMP, Agile, ITIL certification preferred
  • Bachelor/master’s degree preferably in digital marketing, IS/IT, Digital technology or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in BioPharma, Rare disease, pharma regulated industry
  • Experience in matrical organization
  • Experience with CMS (preferably Sitecore) Architecture and Design, Common API Classes, Veeva Systems and Security Models.
