IT Product Owner for Product Data Management (m/f/x)

What does the role involve?

Hilti has a strong interest in improving sustainability to make construction better. We wish to enhance our understanding of materials management to gain circularity insights and knowledge.

As an IT Product Owner, you strategically design, run, and maintain our solutions to provide transparency into data. You will continuously improve product data solutions to achieve business success and will work on solution architecture, custom development and process optimization with a global responsibility.

Our Digital PLM solutions around our SAP S/4HANA core support our business units in developing innovative products that provide superior value to our customers. In this role, you are responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of your solution and ensuring an outstanding user experience. You are required to understand business challenges, translate them into concise, reasonable, and prioritized requirements, define an approach, fulfilling both business and IT needs, and support the project team to successfully implement the solution. You will work within agile & cross-functional Global IT and business teams to define requirements as well as develop convincing solution scenarios. You closely collaborate with our vendors, provide 2 nd /3 rd level support as well as continuously improve features and integration between systems.

An important part of your responsibilities is to align with product and solution owners for cross-solution coordination, status, deliverables, project plan, and other factors that influence the overall project delivery. Specifically, you will work closely with our strategic sustainability program team to drive product data development to enable sustainability reporting and future use cases to strengthen our value proposition to the customer.

What you need is:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar
• Proven track record with implementing SAP/ non SAP solutions (experience with SAP MM, Product Compliance module is a plus)
• An end-to-end process understanding in the field of product engineering and/or product data management
• Strong business and IT literacy, experience in implementing sustainability improvement initiatives is a strong plus
• Ability to elicit and elaborate requirements with clear acceptance criteria, as well as experience in estimating resource, cost, and time requirements
• Demonstrated ability to inspire the trust, confidence, and respect of peers and other senior leaders, as well as vendors, using superior customer relationship, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Great communication skills, fluent English is required
