Due to an internal move of staff, we are now looking for a Operative Purchaserto join our team to perform purchasing activities in defined area of responsibility in order to secure material availability.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

What will I do?

As Operative Purchaser your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • Execute purchase orders, order monitoring, confirmations and rescheduling.
  • Review and verify technical specifications and requirements as basis
  • Proactively work to enable cross-divisional, cross-organisational and supplier cooperation.
  • Create and issue forecasts to suppliers when applicable
  • Approving of payments to suppliers according to delegation of authority
  • Maintenance of master data in SAP R/3 MM
  • Negotiate and execute spot buys within given guidelines
  • Support non-conformity/warranty process management
  • Execution of Workflow tasks in SAP R/3 MM
  • Monitor and report supplier performance (i.e. delivery reliability, lead time and price).
  • propose contract changes to strategic purchasing, escalate difficulties in supplier performance and relationship management torespective Strategic Purchaser
  • Maintaining a suitable & diverse pool of suppliers
