About the role


You are a motivated and business oriented student who is eager to apply knowledge gained at university hands-on? Swiss Re Consultancy provides a range of consulting services to partners across the Group. You will be a member of a pool of Project Management Officers (PMO) who support our consultants in their projects:

  • structuring and setup of program and project organisations

  • crafting and updating of key documents such as project definition documents, charters, business cases, steering board presentations, risk and action logs etc.

  • scheduling and handling meetings with partners and internal customers, project teams, steering boards etc.

  • designing, conducting and assessing communications and partner engagement activities

  • supervising and controlling scope, schedule, resources and financials

  • on-boarding new team members to the program or project

  • conducting training needs analysis and implementing the training approach, i.e. plan, prioritise and monitor training sessions, coordinate training material design

  • acting as central collection and dissemination point for program/project management related information

  • being a role model and ambassador for the application of Swiss Re internal guidelines and project management standards

About you

  • Bachelor or masters student of Business/Management studies, Social Sciences, or Communications

  • Strong interest (and preferably previous experience) in Project Management

  • Able to navigate ambiguity, flexible and pragmatic

  • "Can do demeanour": strong sense of ownership paired with high levels of intrinsic motivation and energy

  • Autonomous and critical thinker, self-organised and structured

  • Good analytical skills, including attention to detail without losing track of the big picture

  • Good at taking care of people and at receiving and giving constructive feedback in a timely manner

  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills, German is plus

  • Ability and willingness to work towards goals while keeping high quality standards
