Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city’s leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Set to open end of 2023, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will feature 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

The Revenue Manager monitors demand trends and market conditions which are translated into hotel revenue management strategies, used to realize the maximum amount of revenue for the hotel, whilst being extremely cognizant of the hotel brand.

The Revenue Manager is responsible for:

  • Forecasting of daily Transient and Group demand and tracking of variances.
  • Analysis, comparison, and monitoring of booking pace amongst the competitive set as well as the city as a whole.
  • Accurate analysis and tracking of market, geographic, channel, key accounts in order to check effectiveness of marketing strategies and performance to budget.
  • Tracking of hotels RevPAR growth and penetration versus the competition.
  • Proactive analysis, implementation and policing of rooms yielding strategies.
  • Development and implementation of hotel Electronic Distribution Strategy.
  • Ensuring a consistent hotel pricing/yield strategy across all segments and channels.
  • Overseeing of the Reservations Department and ensuring the development of key personnel for career progression.
  • Analysis, recommendation and implementation of room packages in order to maximize low/high demand periods.
  • Ensuring the communication and dissemination of information to the various operations and support departments is timely, accurate and well-orchestrated. To build platforms of communication between Front Office and Reservations with the objective of better information sharing and improving the arrival experience.
  • Ensuring that the arrival and departure information of FIT and larger movements are well communicated in order for operations issues to be better managed etc.

What are we looking for?

  • Three to five years experience in Reservations/revenue management. Pre-opening hotel experience would be an advantage
  • Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field
  • Fluent in English language and good knowledge of German would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and power Point
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Able to multi-task
  • A skilled leader who is able to train and motivate the team
  • The successful candidate must already be eligible to work in Switzerland
