Your field of responsibility


As Team Head OTC Legal Governance, you will take on an exciting and challenging role within the OTC Legal Advisory & Governance department of the General Counsel Division. You will lead experienced and Legal tech minded lawyers in Switzerland, in a dynamic and evolving environment providing legal coverage in respect of a broad and interesting array of legal topics. In close collaboration with relevant General Counsel departments globally, you will be responsible for further developing and implementing the governing and regulatory standards and, where applicable, control framework for OTC Legal Advisory & Governance. Supporting internal stakeholders, including Credit, Collateral Management and Front Office, your team will also provide legal advisory support in relation to credit risk mitigation techniques across the Bank (e.g. netting and collateral enforcement) and will be on the forefront of generating related Legal tech solutions.

Your skills and experience


For this non-conventional position we are looking for an exceptional all-round talent with the following skills & experience:

  • Master’s degree in common law, or a civil law jurisdiction, bar admission is an advantage
  • Substantive relevant in-house experience within a legal, regulatory and/or compliance department
  • Demonstration of certain of the areas of responsibilities detailed above
  • Proven experience as agile minded leader and team player with strong inter-personal skills
  • Digital affine
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy and high pressured environment
  • Fluency in English, both written & spoken, and good knowledge of German
