Laboratory Technician –
Your next role?



As a Laboratory technician you will report to the Delivery Systems Industrialization Chemist. You will work independently on moderately complex assignments performing chemical analysis and test of the Delivery Systems technologies. You will collaborate with S&T, Operations and Quality Control. Also you will support industrialisation pilot runs in the factory (worldwide).


In this exciting challenge, your main responsibilities will be the following:


  • Industrialize and pilot processes to manufacture new delivery systems (from Research or the market)
  • Conduct synthesis independently, including experimental design and library searches
  • Develop, validate and implement analytical methods
  • Highly polyvalent mind-set (switch projects swiftly) and flexible working hours
  • Optimisation of the powder drying by atomization
  • Master different analytical methods
  • Analyse and interpret scientific data
  • Resolve technical problems and ensure actions are taken when experiments deviate from expected results
  • Support Operations on existing technologies and give support on making improvements with the production teams
  • Monitor and report progress on industrialisation activities
  • Perform maintenance on lab equipment and facilities ensuring compliance with lab safety policies
  • Participate to Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g. 5S, MOC)
  • Be part of the team of delivery systems technology experts in Vernier and support in different initiatives whenever needed

Your professional profile includes:


  • High school diploma in Chemicals or Technical branch (CFC)
  • Knowledge of encapsulation polymerisation and formulation
  • Knowledge of the atomization processes
  • Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous materials
  • Min. 5 years of experience in synthesis laboratory
  • Reading and writing English
  • Be ready to travel (3-5 time per year)
  • Pro-active and team-player
  • Rigorous and procedural in approach
