GE PS, Gas Plant Services Engineering (GPSE), GT Fleet and Cross-fleet, is looking for a Requisition Engineer with experience in power plant technologies, commissioning and O&M.
The mission of the Requisition Engineer will be to technically lead and coordinate entire conversion, modification and upgrades (CM&U’s) requisition activity for selected high volume complex service projects, focusing on E and F gas technologies as a core CoE.Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical coordination for conversions, modifications, and uprates on in-service Gas Turbines and Combined Cycle Power Plants, focus on legacy Alstom fleet.
  • Provide wing to wing support projects from order to remittance (OTR).
  • Process requisitions through Engineering, Drafting & Sourcing.
  • Develop and monitor engineering project schedules, coordinate with stakeholders (Customer, Project Managers & CSL Customer Service Leaders as required
  • Provide technical support for major Gas Turbine rebuild/repair/modification projects.
  • Make technical presentations to customers or to other stakeholders as required.
  • Provide technical assistance to field service personnel during Project Installation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Technical experience in power generation technology support
  • Knowledge of gas turbine and balance of plant equipment and demonstrated technical credibility for GE and/or non-GE equipment
  • Good knowledge of English is a must, other languages are an asset
  • Several years of experience in engineering functions or equivalent

Desired Characteristics:

  • Field experience on Combined Cycle Power Plants, E or F-class.
  • Computer skills/familiarity with PLM / e-BOM and ML / BOM structure.
  • Technical knowledge of Legacy Alstom Gas Turbine fleet.
  • Outstanding communications skills and strong project coordination / leadership skills.
  • Self-starter with energy and positive attitude and legacy of delivering on commitments in a fast paced dynamics environment.
  • Continuous improvement “mindset” with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process.
  • Able to undertake international business travel to support business needs.
