For Drug Product Services (DPS) , our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland , we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as (Senior) Scientist Process Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently plan and perform pharmaceutical development studies for liquid and lyophilized parenteral drug products of biologics (e.g. monoclonal antibodies, novel formats, ADCs, peptides), and small molecules
  • Install, qualify, and maintain equipment and lab for pharmaceutical development following lab and safety instructions and all cGMP regulations
  • Perform the analysis e.g. protein content by UV, identity, color, clarity and opalescence, pH, osmolality, extractable volume, visual inspection, subvisible particles, moisture content and related DP analytics.
  • Manufacturing non-GMP drug product samples for supportive stability studies and preclinical use (e.g. GLP tox studies) applying aseptic working techniques
  • Ensures basic GMP qualification and performs documentation, material handling and use of equipment according to applicable quality standards. Ensure compliance to health and safety standards.
Key Requirements
  • A Masters degree preferably or equivalent in e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Relevant experience as a research/ technical assistant in drug process development
  • Good understanding of DP process development,and technical knowledge of handling basic analytical equipment e.g. UV-VIS, pH, osmolality.
  • Good reporting, interpretation, documentation and presentation of scientific results
  • Experience with parenteral dosage forms, protein lyophilization or basic lyophilization technique will be a plus
