Legal Counsel (50%)
Your mission :
Under the supervision of the Head of Legal Affairs of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs (VPA), you will focus on administrative and legal matters related to research and educational projects.
Main duties and responsibilities include :
  • Support the VPA Legal Affairs with legal research on various standalone topics and administrative tasks.
  • Organize and maintain reference materials and databases, by supporting on uploading documents on virtual data rooms and/or keep organized other databases necessary to the VPA Legal Affairs in collaboration with other services of EPFL administration.
  • Provide support on ordinary course matters in educational and research projects for the VPA Legal counsels as required, such as the review, draft and negotiation of agreements (mainly exchange agreements between universities, NDAs, MTAs and donations).
  • Ensure compliance of said contracts with applicable laws/regulations and EPFL policies.
  • Support the VPA Legal counsels in the conduct of disciplinary or disputes procedure.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of template agreements and processes.
Your profile :
  • Master degree in Swiss Law
  • Professional experience is not required, but can be an asset
  • Solution oriented and capable of synthetizing complex situations
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and French, good knowledge of German an asset
  • Good team player
  • Strong social and communication skills to effectively interact within and outside EPFL
