We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join Sonova’s Corporate Legal team, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel. Your responsibilities include commercial contracts drafting, review and negotiation, and the coordination of commercial legal matters with internal clients. If you are a service-oriented person and strong team player, with excellent organisation and time management skills and a strong focus on detail orientation you can be a great support to the team. This is a new role and you will have the opportunity to shape it. If you have an interest in new technologies and enjoy IP law, this role could be for you.

Your tasks
  • Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including supply agreements, IP licenses, software agreements (SaaS, software development, SLA), logistics, consultancy and service agreements, agency, distribution agreements, NDAs, etc.
  • Coordinate pre-litigation dispute settlements with contracting parties
  • Responsible for contract management process, perform related trainings to internal clients with the support of paralegal
  • Template review and maintenance
  • Work closely with internal clients to understand business objectives, and address identified risks
  • Support and coordinate transversal legal projects
  • Perform legal research under Swiss law (familiar with Swisslex)
  • Provide general legal advice to the business
  • Post M&A support in the integration of newly acquired businesses

Your profile
  • Swiss law degree is mandatory for this role
  • Bar Admission is a nice to have
  • L.L.M. is a nice to have
  • 2+ years’ law firm or in-house relevant experience
  • Experience in contract drafting and legal research; familiarity with contract management tools is a nice to have
  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written), other languages would be a plus
  • Ability to translate complex legal information into simple guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with staff at all levels and in multiple geographies
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
  • At ease with MS Office programs
