Responsibilities

You will provide high quality legal services globally in the relevant areas of responsibility that are technical, commercially relevant, timely effective, cost efficient, risk appropriate and solutions driven. Including:
  • Act as contributing expert for all legal matters related to finance activities within the Group which includes mainly international bank and capital markets financings as well as derivatives and any underlying financial regulatory aspects as well as compliance with stock exchange and listing regulations in Switzerland and the EU (Paris and Luxembourg)
  • Monitor material legal developments and develop appropriate responses
  • Support the development of legal excellence globally with a view to build, manage and exchange in-house knowledge, expertise and best practices
  • Support the legal team in other areas (Corporate, M&A, Commercial) as needed
Education/Qualifications
  • Law degree from a reputable law school / university and admitted to a bar in the European Union, the UK or Switzerland
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in international law firm, financial institution or multinational corporate environment (including handling of international finance transactions (EMTN and Commercial Paper programmes, LMA-based loans), derivatives (ISDA), corporate and capital markets regulatory matters, etc).
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, advising and influencing on relevant decision making levels.
  • Proven track record of working successfully in or with a wide range of jurisdictions and broad working knowledge of various legal systems.
  • Solid experience in an international and decentralized environment and in cross-cultural teams.

  • Highly developed legal and commercial acumen with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the right outcomes and impact
  • Forward looking and self-motivated, with experience in managing in dynamic, complex, challenging and ambiguous environments
  • Fluent and articulate English speaker with advanced drafting and writing skills, particularly involving complex legal, commercial and operational concepts. Other languages (German, French or Spanish) are advantageous
