Limited Senior Project Manager (Finance) - ERP Migration

In this role you will be working as a Senior Project Manager for the finance stream of a large ERP migration/legal entity merger, integrating a former GE Industrial Solution unit into an ABB Legacy legal entity and SAP ERP system. You will be part of the project team leading the finance stream with the aim of setting up the ABB system for the former GE system requirements from a finance perspective. You will be responsible (together with the finance stream team) to analyze, blue-print, design and implement a migration strategy and ideally improve existing setups. You will be closely working together with Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) Poland local division controlling team. This job is limited to a 1-year contract. Future career development opportunities in ELDS (Electrification Distribution Solutions) finance and controlling can be discussed during the project execution, turning the temporary into a permanent position. In this role you will be reporting to the EMEA Hub Division controller and be part of the overall project team.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the finance stream in a legal entity merger/ERP migration project.
• Key role in bringing the different finance and controlling parties (business controlling, GBS, tax, country finance and CoE) together under one merger strategy.
• Analyze, blueprint, design and structure the target ERP system based on the business needs
• The migration and legal merger will take place from the current legal entity/SAP system (PLGPO/SAP Torque) to another legal entity/SAP system (PLABB/SAP Legacy)
• Aligning business controlling processes with GBS from India (PLGPO) to GBS Cracow (PLABB), aligning current PLGPO internal control processes with PLABB processes, aligning current GBS India with GBS Cracow processes
• Reconciling, checking and cleaning, key financial statements (balance sheet, P&L statement, Cash Flow statement) as well as other key elements (e.g. purchase orders, GR/IR, etc.) before and after the migration with the support of the team and specialists.
• Being an active part in identifying and closing gaps in the project team structure, adding key competences where needed to successfully close the project
• Analyzing and implementing process improvements (e.g. internal control, project controlling, closing process, GBS-Business controlling interface, etc.) where you identify it as necessary and in accordance with business controlling needs.
• Being a success factor for planning, structuring, implementing and hyper care supporting the business-critical cutover of the systems with aim to have as little business interruption as possible but still deliver the project on time.

Your background

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting & Finance (or similar)
• Senior work experience in business controlling (e.g. Local division controller, large-unit LPG controller)
• Strong knowledge of internal controlling processes and internal controls (ideally operational unit- as well as GBS side)
• Advanced knowledge of SAP FI-, CO-, SD-, PS- and other (e.g. MM) modules
• Strong business partnering & communication skills
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong written and verbal communication
• Experience in project management is an advantage
• Project language: English
